Dr. Katie Montgomery is a Van Wert, Ohio native with over 15 years of experience in the dental world. She was an active participant in her high school and church programs, and always knew she wanted to go into the medical field. After graduating from high school, and finishing her undergraduate studies in Biology and Chemistry at Butler University, Dr Katie returned to her home state to attend The Ohio State University College of Dentistry. Upon receiving her Doctor of Dental Surgery, she joined a dental practice, and eventually was able to purchase her own. Dr. Katie takes pride in connecting with the community and running Montgomery Family Dental in a way that can benefit patients of all ages. She gives her patients the tools and opportunities to be proactive and engaged in maintaining their oral health habits and treatments.
Sometimes things beneath the surface of the gums or between teeth are invisible to the naked eye. That's why we’ll use the latest digital x-rays to capture detailed images of your teeth, gums, and facial bones. This allows us to make sure we aren’t missing anything unseen!
While a professional cleaning is a great way to get your oral health back on track, proactive care is key to keeping your smile flourishing. During your first visit, Dr. Katie will take a careful look at your teeth, gums, and x-rays to ensure there are no deeper concerns.
After your x-rays and exam, you'll get one on one time with Dr. Katie to go over the finding of your exam and work on a custom treatment plan that accommodates your needs, lifestyle, and budget. This is also a great time to ask any questions you may have about your smile or goals.

No, there will not! Our $200 new patient special will completely cover the cost of your exam, x-rays, and custom treatment plan at Montgomery Family Dental, so there will be no hidden fees to fear! If Dr. Katie finds any concerns during your visit, she will address your needs with straightforward, compassionate attention. We are happy to work within your needs to create a treatment plan that fits your budget before proceeding with any treatment.
After your first visit, you’ll leave our office with a fresh brilliant smile, and a dental treatment plan tailored to you. Dr. Katie encourages all of her patients to drop by for a preventive appointment every six months to maintain year round healthy smiles. You can make your next appointment on the way out of our office, and also ask about our affordable in-house financing plan, which offers great savings on our services!
Absolutely! We’re happy to accept all dental insurance providers and plans to help keep high-quality, modern care within reach for all of our patients here in Marysville. Please do keep in mind however, that our $200 new patient special cannot be combined with dental insurance.

I have loved the care provided to my family by Dr. Montgomery and her wonderful staff , for years! She is confident and competent when facing tough dental issues. She is honest about what’s going on in your mouth and is able to explain clearly and gives you a voice in the process. She understands dental anxiety and does her best to make you feel comfortable and responded to. I would drive to see her, even if I moved, because I can’t imagine going to any other dentist!
